Camdenton won the Purple Pool at the 2012 Lady Laker Invitational over the weekend. The Lady Lakers beat Crocker 10-0, Jacksonville (Ill.) 3-1 and Boonville 8-1. Osage took second in the Maroon Pool. The Lady Indians tied Mexico, beat Fatima and lost to Lebanon.


Camdenton won the Purple Pool at the 2012 Lady Laker Invitational over the weekend. The Lady Lakers beat Crocker 10-0, Jacksonville (Ill.) 3-1 and Boonville 8-1.

Junior forward Miriam Taylor became the all-time leading goal scorer in the history of the program by getting her 61st career goal against Crocker on Friday night.

She had tied Lindsey Vize's record of 60 set in 2002. Taylor would add three more goals in Saturday's victories and now has 64 in less than three seasons.

Whitney Snow had four goals in Camdenton's win over Boonville.

Also for CHS, senior Annie Rice scored her first career goal and finished with a hat trick against Crocker. Senior goalkeeper Cassie Hale had 11 saves against Jacksonville and a goal versus Crocker.

Lebanon won the Maroon Pool and Union won the Gold Pool. Camdenton (13-5-1) plays Tuesday at Kickapoo and Thursday at Joplin.

The Lady Lakers had their nine-game undefeated streak snapped at home Thursday night.

Camdenton fell to 10-5-1 overall with the Ozark Conference loss. Camdenton is 5-2 in OC play and 3-1 against district foes West Plains, Rolla, Waynesville and Lebanon.

Osage second in Maroon Pool

The Osage Lady Indians went 1-1-1 in the Maroon Pool of the 2012 Lady Laker Invitational over the weekend.

Osage tied Mexico 2-2 on Friday night, beat Fatima 4-0 early Saturday afternoon and ended the day with a 2-0 loss to pool-champion Lebanon.

Monica Cisar and Tara Allman had goals in the tie against Mexico. Osage (14-5-1) hosts Fatima today at 5 p.m.
