The fifth annual Support the Fort Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, May 3, at Sycamore Creek Golf Club in conjunction with the Mid Missouri Chapter of AUSA (Association of the United States Army).

The event provides the opportunity for lake area residents to golf with soldiers both active duty and retired, to hear their stories and spend the day in appreciation of their many sacrifices.  Tournament proceeds benefit the local Lake of the Ozarks Support the Fort organization that hosts several events for the Wounded Warrior Unit of Fort Leonard Wood.

The cost per team of two golfers is $200, which includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, dinner and being paired to play with American heroes.  Hole sponsors are also available for $75.  Dinner for non-golfers is $9. This is open to the public and anyone may RSVP to attend.

Deadline to register is April 26.

For more information or to register call Danna Kahrs at 573-348-9593 or you can visit www.lakesupportthefort.com to print a registration form.

About
Lake of the Ozarks Support the Fort is an organization formed under the Mid Missouri Chapter of AUSA (Association of the United States Army). The Mid Missouri Chapter of AUSA helps soldiers in need, awards scholarships and supports the national AUSA chapter, which lobbies on behalf of all the soldiers in our United States Army.

The purpose of the local Lake of the Ozarks Support the Fort is to let the soldiers and families at Fort Leonard Wood know how much we appreciate them and what they do every day for our country.  Lake of the Ozarks Support the Fort is honored to host several events throughout the year bringing the soldiers and their families to the Lake of the Ozarks and introducing them to our community and local citizens.
