Loweta Maxine Hicks, 92, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 in Springfield, Mo.

She was born June 15, 1919 in Mount Ayr, Iowa to Frank and Lucy Waggoner Minnick, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Dale, who she married on June 19, 1943, stillborn son on June 3, 1945 and one sister, Helen Keeling.

She was a floral designer, former owner of Richland Floral and Gifts. She was also employed for several years at Colonial Chapel in Richland and Always Flowers in Lebanon.

 She is survived by two daughters, Judy Dustin and husband Bill of Nixa, Mo., and Diana Hicks and her friend Susie of Springfield, Mo.; three sons, Greg Hicks and wife Jamie of Camdenton, Mo., Randy Hicks of Waynesville, Mo., and a foreign exchange student, Rudy Velazquez of Guaynas, Mexico; one brother, Robert Minnick and wife Janet of Iberia, Mo.; two sisters, Doris Whitaker and husband Billy of Brady, Texas, and  Juanita Minniear of Denver, Colo., eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; a special friend, Olin Robertson of Highlandville, Mo.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Shadel's Colonial Chapel in Lebanon, Mo. with Nolan D. Carrier and Phillip Wright officiating.

Burial will take place prior to the service at 10 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery near Waynesville, Mo.
