A problem intersection involving the Expressway will be focus of a special MoDOT briefing.
Several accidents and near-misses have been reported by the Osage Beach Police Department since that portion of the Expressway opened several months ago.
MoDOT will hold a community briefing from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, to discuss possible safety improvements to the intersection of Route 54 and Key Largo Road in the city of Osage Beach. The open-house meeting will be held at the Osage Beach City Hall, 1000 City Parkway. ??
"We're looking at three possible options to make the intersection safer," said MoDOT Transportation Project Manager Trent Brooks. "We would like to get input from motorists who frequently use the intersection so we can make the best decisions possible."??
MoDOT staff will be available during the briefing to receive input and answer any questions. No formal presentations will be made, and the public may attend the briefing any time during the advertised hours. Displays, handout materials and comment forms from the briefing will be available at www.modot.org/central the following day.
