Three southwest Missouri men are charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a Rogersville man in January.

The Webster County prosecuting attorney says the men were charged Friday in the Jan. 15 death of Billy Harris at the men's home near Rogersville.

The suspects are 47-year-old Alfred Clevenger, 40-year-old Kevin Layton and 43-year-old Dewayne Layton. Clevenger and Kevin Layton are in custody. KY3-TV reports that Dewayne Layton, who is believed to have fired the fatal shots, is on the run.

Investigators say Clevenger and a female witness told police Dewayne Layton shot Harris. A probable cause statement says the three men dumped Harris' body in a wooded area north of Rogersville.

Online court records do not indicate that the men have lawyers.
