  • Seven people have been arrested in Morgan County after a joint operation by the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force, Morgan County Sheriff's Office, Morgan County S.W.A.T. team and the Camden County S.W.A.T. team.

  • Seven people have been arrested in Morgan County after a joint operation by the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force, Morgan County Sheriff's Office, Morgan County S.W.A.T. team and the Camden County S.W.A.T. team.
    According to a press release from the task force, officers from these agencies conducted a surveillance operation on the night of Tuesday, Sept. 6 at the residence of Shad Rehms, located at 28081 Beauty View Lane in Gravois Mills.
    Arrested that night in Gravois Mills on an outstanding warrant for Burglary from Jackson County, Mo. was Kyle Rehms, 18, of Lee's Summit. Shad Rehms, 38, of Gravois Mills was also then arrested and charged by the Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney's Office with the Class C felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
    Officers then served a search warrant at the 28081 Beauty View residence in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Sept. 7, the press release stated.
    Kelly R. Strickland, 32, of Gravois Mills and Amanda Koontz, 27, of Versailles were arrested at the residence where officers recovered digital scales, packaging material and about one ounce of Methamphetamine.
    Strickland was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Circuit Court of Camden County for a probation violation on an original charge of Distribution of a Controlled Substance. She was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Associate Circuit Court of Morgan County for Property Damage.
    Koontz was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Missouri Department of Corrections for a Parole Violation.
    Arrested near the scene was Dana Caviness, 31, of Sunrise Beach on outstanding traffic warrants from the City of Laurie. Jennifer Lahay, 28, of Sunrise Beach was also arrested near the scene for violations of the conditions of her bond from a felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance in Morgan County.
    Then on the night of Sept. 9 in a related case, Randall D. Roden, 38, of Gravois Mills was arrested after Methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging material and 10 firearms were recovered by officers in a search of his car during a traffic stop and the subsequent search of a residence in Versailles that was frequented by Roden. One of the guns recovered by police was a sawed-off double barrel shotgun.
    Roden was charged with the Class B felony of Distribution of a Controlled Substance, the Class C felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and the Class C felony of Possession of an Illegal Firearm.
    On Tuesday, Sept. 13, additional charges against Strickland were filed by the Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. She was charged with the Class B felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent To Distribute and the Class C felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
    The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected, the press release stated.
