A new car show is kicking off this weekend in Sunrise Beach.

The first "Ride of Spring" Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show will be Saturday, April 30, at Lake West Christian Academy, located at 17178 N. State Highway 5 in Sunrise Beach.

The show will be open noon-4 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Lake West Christian Academy.

The first "Ride of Spring" Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show will be Saturday, April 30, at Lake West Christian Academy, located at 17178 N. State Highway 5 in Sunrise Beach.
The show will be open noon-4 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Lake West Christian Academy.
There is no entry fee for the car show. The event is non-competitive. Vehicles will be displayed in the school parking lot. All entrants will receive a Show Certificate.
A fun run, poker-style event will also run over a closed loop from Gravois Mills to Greenview. There will be a $5 per hand entry fee. Trophies will be awarded to the top five poker hands. The fun run is open to everyone. You do not have to be a car show entrant.
There will also be a scale model show, also with no entry fee. This event will be held in the school gymnasium. Models will be judged and trophies awarded to the top three entries.
An activity called Kicks on 66 will feature an indoor radio control Route 66 car course.
Concessions will be sold on site including hot dogs, chips and soft drinks. There will be a bake sale as well.
The event is sponsored by New Hope Lutheran LCMC. The Fun Run and Model Show trophies will be provided by Big Boys' Toys Car Club.
