The City of Osage Beach, through a grant from the Department of Natural Resources in cooperation with the Lake Ozarks Solid Waste Management District, is planning to host a Lake Area white goods recycling event as a free public service.


The City of Osage Beach, through a grant from the Department of Natural Resources in cooperation with the Lake Ozarks Solid Waste Management District, is planning to host a Lake Area white goods recycling event as a free public service.

During this two-week event, the public is invited to drop off the following items at the Osage Beach Public Works Facility: 

Refrigerators Washers Dryers Stoves Air conditioners Water heaters Dishwashers

Freon will be reclaimed from refrigerators and air conditioners and all will be recycled for scrap metal.

A large waste receptacle will be in place on the parking lot of the Public Works Facility at 5757 Chapel Drive. White goods may be placed in or near this. Because this event is restricted to white goods only, no other large items can be accepted.

This event is planned for the weeks of May 9-20, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. A Public Works employee will be on hand during those hours to assist with large items.  No weekend hours are scheduled.
