Community Christian Church in Camdenton will be hosting the second annual Chocolate for Charity on April 30 starting at 5 p.m. This presents an opportunity for a family friendly chocolate challenge to make the best chocolate dish at the Lake. Last year almost $3,000 was raised to help defray utility and rent expenses for those in need in the community.?New this year will be a non-chocolate category for those who are not a chocolate fan.?

There will be both a professional and an amateur class with a panel of chocolate judges (including local celebrities) joining in the fun. Several restaurants and caterers such as the Maple Street Grill, Sugar Loft, Angela’s Catering, Captain Ron’s, Tupelo Honey’s, and JJ‘s and the Copper Pot, will be entering.   ?

At 5 p.m. taste testing will begin and at 6:30 p.m. chocolate entries will be auctioned off, courtesy of Bryant Auction.?Tickets are only $5 for adults and $3 for children. This will include taste testing of all chocolate entries, free popcorn and drinks, face painting, and one ticket for voting on People’s Choice.  A light supper will also be available.?
