Sherry Jackson, a 24-year employee of Glencove Marine, and her husband, Bruce, have purchased the original Glencove Marine facility at the 3 mile marker on Lake of the Ozarks outright from its former majority owner. The new Glencove Marina will retain the “Glencove” name and will still offer the services it has been known for over the past 27 years.

Many of the employees that have worked for Glencove over the years will remain employed with an average tenure of 10 years.

“This is really a new era for Glencove Marina,” Jackson said. “My husband and I look forward to the Glencove team providing the same great sales and service that they have been known for over the past 27 years.  We are not believers that bigger is always better and it is our dream to take Glencove back to its roots as a home town marina. Glencove has been a recognizable marine name here at the lake since 1984, and we are thrilled to be able to continue that tradition with an even heightened level of excellence and customer dedication.”

Over the years, Glencove Marine has represented numerous boating lines such as Chris Craft, Formula, Chaparral, Doral, Cruisers Yachts, Sunseeker, Tigershark and Sea Doo.

“Glencove Marina is well equipped to service any type of watercraft at the lake,” Jackson said. “Customer service has always been, and will continue to be our No. 1 priority.”

While subtle changes, like a newly revamped website, will go into effect immediately, many of the services offered for years at Glencove will continue unchanged under this new ownership.

New to the location this year is the addition of personal water craft service. With a certified PWC tech on board, Glencove can offer removal of debris from pumps, complete tune-ups, motor and pump rebuilds, oil changes, lanyard programming, diagnostics, clearing of pesky codes, fuel system cleaning and electrical work.

“We are so thrilled to be able to own and operate such a respected name as Glencove at the Lake of the Ozarks,” Jackson said. “I have been an employee of Glencove since 1987, just two years after it moved to its current location at the 3 mile marker, and I have seen that the success of our business has always been attributed to the dedicated people that work here. Bruce and I are excited to see that continue.”
