The regular meeting of the Eldon Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was held April 16 at the Eldon United Methodist Church.  Regent Rebecca Thomas presided. A board-catered brunch was available and board members acted as hostesses.


The regular meeting of the Eldon Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was held April 16 at the Eldon United Methodist Church.  Regent Rebecca Thomas presided. A board-catered brunch was available and board members acted as hostesses.

This was the official visit of Missouri State Regent Donna Nash. Several members of the Wyota Chapter of Lebanon, Mo., were also in attendance.  

Nash gave a presentation highlighting the statewide activities of the MSSDAR, as well as short- and long-term projects the society is currently working on.

Chapter officers elections were held. Officers-elect for the 2011-2013 term are: Nina Smith regent; Renee Pace, vice-regent; Pam Ramey, chaplain; Ruth Ann Edison, recording secretary; Melinda Boyd, corresponding secretary; Jane Blockberger, treasurer; Rebecca Poertner, registrar; Sarah Schad, historian and Sandra Pope, librarian. The new officers will be installed at the regular meeting in May and will assume official duties June 1.  

The next regular meeting of the chapter will be Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m. at the Eldon United Methodist Church. This will be the annual business meeting, report of officers and installation of new officers.
