  • The pre-trial process stretches on for a man accused of stabbing his female roommate to death in October 2010. Gregory Lucas George, 23, will appear for his third counsel status hearing next Monday in Camdenton in his first degree murder case.
George also faces an armed criminal action charge in the Oct. 10, 2010, death of 21-year-old Adrianna Hyten. George called police at 11:21 a.m. to report that his roommate was dead. EMT's found Hyten's body on the living room floor of her apartment at 1167 Mace Road. An initial autopsy revealed that Hyten died from stab wounds, approximately seven hours before George reported her death.
Officers arrested George, a registered sex offender, the same day for violating conditions of his probation from a previous criminal conviction. On March 6, George was charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action.
George appeared in court for arraignment on April 11, and appeared Monday for a status hearing. He is still seeking legal representation in his case. His next counsel status hearing before Judge Bruce Colyer will be April 25 at 9 a.m. at the Camden County Courthouse. George is being held in the Camden County jail with no bond allowed.
