He Is Risen is a long standing Easter tradition on the west side of the Lake area. Sponsored by the Westlake Ministerial Alliance, it is a colorfully costumed retelling of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, starting when Jesus is in the tomb. The outdoor pageant features a large volunteer cast.

When: 8:30 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 24
Where: On the grounds of Kent Memorial Lutheran Church at Lake Road 5-35 and Route 5 in Sunrise Beach
Number of volunteers: There are about 40 volunteers with 22 speaking parts, 15 non-speaking roles, a director, stage hands and others donating time for preparation and props. People are also welcome to show up at dress rehearsal the day before the program and get a costume to participate as a citizen (similar to a movie extra).
