  • Plans are progressing for the city's first city-wide garage sale to take place in June. Officials said they are looking at the event as a way for Camdenton residents to pass along some of their unwanted items.
Right now, the garage sale is tentatively scheduled for June 10 and 11.
If any resident wishes to participate, they need to call City Hall and request that their address is added to the map of garage sale locations. The map will be made available to the public before the sale.
The city is also waiving the garage sale permit requirement for those days only.
The city-wide garage sale is being held in conjunction with the city's annual cleanup, which will be held a week after the sale during regular trash pickup.
Mayor Dennis North said the city normally holds the pickup in March, but the weather in previous years has been so bad that the city has decided to push the date back.
More information about both events will be made available as the dates near.
