U.S. Air Force captain who was later a Real Estate investor, will be missed
William G. “Bill” Wittmann, age 95, of Lake Ozark, Mo., departed this life Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Mo.
He was born June 21, 1915, in Troy, Ill., the son of George and Anna (Taake) Wittmann.
Bill had served his country proudly as a Captain in the United States Air Force. He later enjoyed a rewarding career as a Real Estate Investor. In his spare time, he enjoyed all sports and spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his son Pete Wittmann and wife, Elaine; his daughter Alice Dodge and husband, Ken and eleven grandchildren, as well as several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna (Sanders), his parents, and one sister, Carol Wittmann.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at 4 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Lake Ozark, Mo. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2-4 p.m. prior to services at the church.
Interment will be Wednesday, March 2, at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo.
