Victories for both Climax Springs teams, losses for the Macks Creek teams.


The Climax Springs High School basketball teams swept Hermitage. Fair Play swept the Macks Creek teams.

Girls' games

Eugene 75, Versailles 55
Versailles played Eugene close for three quarters in a non-conference home loss on Monday night.

Senior guard Danielle Croy led the Lady Tigers (2-18) with 15 points. Versailles shot 8-for-15 from 3-point range but also committed 23 turnovers and had just 18 rebounds.

Versailles plays Cole Camp at home on Thursday night and concludes the regular season at Tipton on Friday night.

The Pirates were unable to dig out of a 15-point first-quarter hole and lost at Fair Play on Monday night.

Senior guard Curtis Collins led Macks Creek (8-12) with 35 points on 14-for-21 shooting.

Senior center Dylan Whitworth had 29 points, 18 rebounds and nine blocks. Dustin Lutz added 16 rebounds and four steals for the Pirates.

Macks Creek plays at Niangua on Wednesday night.
