  • A man accused of committing a triple homicide in Stoutland in early December will appear in court Monday, Feb. 14, for arraignment.
Morris McCabe waived his rights to a preliminary hearing in the shooting deaths of Donald E. Young, 45, Donald Q. Myers, 53, and Sally A. Amos, 46 and is scheduled to appear before Judge Stan Moore in Camdenton.
McCabe was slated to appear on Feb. 7, but a blizzard forced Camden County to close its courthouse and reschedule several hearings. McCabe has been in the Camden County jail since his Dec. 4, arrest.
McCabe faces three counts of first degree murder and three counts of armed criminal action.
He allegedly shot Young, Myers and Amos at a mobile home outside of Stoutland. Public Defender Fawzy T. Simon will represent McCabe.
McCabe had been out of prison for approximately nine months when the triple homicide in Stoutland occurred. He served a 30-year sentence for second degree murder for killing a man in Lebanon in 1979.
