The Miller County Sheriff's Office has called a press conference at 11 a.m. at the Miller County Sheriff's Department. The press conference was called in relation to the murder of Brandi Mathews. Her body was found near Eldon in 2009.
More information will be released as it becomes available.
Update 11:42 a.m.
Kelly R. Simino has been charged with second degree murder in the death of Brandi Mathews. Simino is being held in the Miller County Jail on a $500,000 bond. He has been in custody on an unrelated charge.
Mathews was last seen alive in September of 2006. A skull was discovered in January 2009 that was identified as belonging to Mathews.
The investigation into Mathews death has included the Miller County Sheriff's Department, the Osage Beach Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, along with the Missouri Attorney General's Office.
