  • A one-month drug investigation concluded with a pair of arrests in Eldon. The Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force arrested and charged Mitchell L. Atterberry of Fulton and Christina M. Ball of Dixon for distribution of a contolled substance and destruction of physical evidence.
According to Miller County Sheriff Bill Abbott, officers had been conducting surveillance operations of a house in Eldon for over a month. Officers determined that Ball and Atterberry were using the house to distribute drugs. They executed a search warrant at 1:20 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
Inside the house, officers found drugs, scales, and packaging materials. Ball and Atterberry were arrested and taken to the Miller County jail. They each had their bonds set at $300,000.
Ball is 25 years old. She was arrested in June for two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and was scheduled to be arraigned in Tuscumbia on Dec. 1 in that case.
Atterberry has prior convictions for involuntary manslaughter, assaulting a police officer, leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a license and passing a bad check.
