A motorcycle accident on State Road AA sent the driver to the hospital with serious injures. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred Sept. 28 around 4 p.m. when Billy J. Long, 34, of Crocker, entered a left hand curve, drove off the right side of the road and went down an embankment where the motorcycle overturned, throwing Long from the 2004 Honda.

He was flown from the scene and sent to University of Hospital in Columbia.
In a separate accident, a Barnett woman was sent to the hospital with serious injures following an accident on Route W in Miller County on Tuesday. The accident was reported at 9:55 p.m. just north of Village Marina Road. According to the report, Kimberly C. Boyland, 40, was driving a 1992 Ford when she ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, went off the left side of the road and overturned.
An arrest report from the highway patrol shows Boyland was cited for felony driving while intoxicated - persistent offender, failure to drive on the right half of the road, driving while revoked and no seat belt.
She was not wearing a seat belt.
