Dr. Christi Hancock’s mission is to integrate chiropractic care and education into the lifestyles of everyone in the lake community, allowing them the opportunity to understand how chiropractic care can benefit an individual toward obtaining and keeping optimal health. She and her staff have created a wellness center that incorporates all avenues of natural health care in one convenient location.
According to The Association of Chiropractic Colleges, chiropractic is a health care discipline that emphasizes the inherent recuperative power of the body to heal itself without the use of drugs and surgery. The objective is to restore and optimize human health.
Conditions treated include low back pain and stiffness, neck and back pain and stiffness, headaches and migraines, leg pain, weakness, numbness and tingling, arm pain, extremity joint pain and dysfunction carpal tunnel syndrome, automobile accident and whiplash injuries, on-the-job and lifting injuries, sports/athletic injuries, slip and fall injuries and chronic injuries.
Non-musculoskeletal conditions can also benefit from chiropractic care including asthma, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, dizziness and disequilibrium, dysmenorrheal, infantile colic, low energy levels, ear infections and ulcers.
Dr. Hancock earned her doctorate degree in chiropractic from Logan Chiropractic College in Chesterfield, Mo. Other staff members are Sabrina White, office manager; Harold Townsend, reflexologies; and Debbie Rose and Larry Cox, massage therapists.
