Linn Creek Scout John Buckingham among 12 selected
Twelve Scouting volunteers from Central Missouri have been selected as Hall of Leadership members for the Great Rivers Council, Boy Scouts of America. They will be formally recognized on June 12 at a special dinner program being held in their honor at the estate of Rex and Jeanne Sinquefield, near Westphalia, Missouri.
The nominees include Randy Behrens (Kirksville), John Buckingham (Linn Creek), William Burton (Jefferson City), Marion Harlan (Columbia), David Harris (Jefferson City), Chuck Hayes (Columbia), Thomas Holt (Jefferson City), Janise Manchester (Jefferson City), Carmel “Merc” Mazzocco (Columbia), Cliff McBride (Sedalia), Richard Parkhurst (Sedalia) and Paul White (Jefferson City).
“This is an outstanding and dedicated group of Scout leaders,” said Steve Erdel, Council President. “We are looking forward to honoring them for their exceptional service to Scouting and the many lives they have influenced in positive ways.”
One of the nominees will be selected by a national level committee to represent Great Rivers Council, BSA, in the National Hall of Leadership, joining more than 300 nominees from across America, one from each Boy Scout council.
The Great Rivers Council, Boy Scouts of America, serves more than 10,000 youth members and adult volunteers in 33 central and northeast Missouri counties.
