There is one day left to vote for the Best of the Lake and in some categories the competition is fierce. So far thousands of people have voted.

Here are a few categories and the finalists that have been narrowed down. We are also giving you the chance to see who is in first place in some of the other categories.

To access the survey go to www.thelakeonline.com. Voting closes April 7 at 5 p.m. Each question has a list of possible answers but you can write in your own candidate. 

Results for the Best of the Lake will be published along with a feature story in the May/June issue of Lake Lifestyles magazine.

Best BBQ
Wobbly Boots is a few votes shy of passing HalfSauced who is in first place with 27.2 percent of the votes. Bandana's is trailing in third place.

Best bar for grown-ups
Blue Room/City grill is winning but not by much with Shady Gators and Dog Days less than one percentage point behind.

Best golf course
Up until a few days ago Osage National and Old Kinderhook were tied. Now Osage National has taken the first place spot.

Best boat dealer
Kelly's Port has a pretty good lead so far with 22.3 percent of the votes.
