Seventeen players in all earn honors – 11 girls, 6 boys. Laker players include Alex Fowler, Nickie Branting and Haley Baker.


Lake area high school basketball players were spread around the Central Missouri All-District basketball teams, announced earlier this week and selected by members of the media.

In total, 17 players from the area were represented – 11 girls players and six boys players.

In Class 5, Alex Fowler made it for Camdenton. He averaged 16.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game for the Lakers this season.

For the Lady Lakers, senior Nickie Branting and junior Haley Baker were also named.

Branting scored nearly 13 points per game and added an average of 3 steals and 3 assists. Baker had a breakthrough season for Camdenton – which had a winning record and made it to the district title – and finished with averages of 14.4 points and 8.3 rebounds.
