A round of heavy rain on Wednesday into Thursday and another front expected to move across Lake of the Ozarks over the weekend will likely cause some localized flooding in areas of Miller, Morgan and Camden counties.
Camden County Emergency Management Director Denise Russell recommends following the "Turn Around Don't Drown" rule into next week.
It is crucial at this point with low water crossings and bridges under water, she said.
"Flooding generally takes a few days to actually fully crest," Russell said."We are slated to have additional rain for Sat and Sun which will contribute to the saturation."
Motorists should avoid low-lying areas that are prone to flooding.
