Arrests include one illegal resident

Law enforcement officers conducted a warrant sweep in the lake area Tuesday. Officers from the Camden County Sheriff's Office, Camdenton City Police Department, Osage Beach Police Department, Lake Ozark Police Department,  the Missouri State Water Patrol and the Missouri State Highway Patrol conducted a joint operation Jan. 26 to serve warrants.

A total of 20 individuals were arrested, clearing 26 outstanding warrants, both misdemeanor and felony, ranging from failure to appear on traffic violations to felony crimes such as forgery and others. One illegal resident was taken into custody.

“Deputy Wendy Kost put the operational details together and did an outstanding job, as did all the personnel involved,” Camden County Sheriff Dwight D. Franklin said
“The lake area law enforcement agencies worked very well together and this kind of operation benefits all the citizens of the Lake of the Ozarks region, not just one county or agency,” he said.
