Web video briefing on potential storm

A light wintry mix of precipitation will be possible Wednesday morning, mainly along and north of the Interstate 44 corridor. A light wintry mix of precipitation will again be possible Wednesday night, mainly along and south of the Interstate 44 corridor. Any accumulations of ice or snow would be minor.

A winter storm will likely impact the region late Thursday into Friday. Precipitation may start as a wintry mix Thursday afternoon across extreme southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas.

Precipitation will then expand north and east across the central and southern Missouri Ozarks Thursday night and will then taper off on Friday.

Precipitation will likely change to snow over most of the outlook area Thursday night, with the snow then continuing into Friday before diminishing.

There are some indications that sleet may mix with the snow at times across far southern Missouri Thursday night.
