Initial report was of two houses on fire
Units from the Osage Beach Fire Protection District responded to a reported explosion and fire at approximately 6 a.m., Saturday in the area of Highway 54 and McField Road in the city of Osage Beach.
911 callers originally thought there were two houses on fire, according to a press release issued by the fire district.
However, upon arrival, units found two vehicles fully involved in fire at the rear of 4821 Highway 54.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in about 10 minutes and were able to keep the fire from spreading to other nearby vehicles and structures. Approximately 17 personnel with six pieces of apparatus responded to the incident.
The Osage Beach Fire Protection District was assisted by Lake Ozark Fire Protection District, Mid-County Fire Protection District, Osage Beach Police and Osage Beach Ambulance.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Missouri State Fire Marshal's Office. Damage is listed at $150,000. There were no injuries.
The vehicles damaged by the fire were owned/operated by Charter Cable.
