Camdenton R-III School District announced Wednesday that yet another assistant superintendent will be promoted.
Just days after being named the next superintendent of the largest area school district, Camdenton's Tim Hadfield announced Wednesday that fellow assistant superintendent, Brian Henry, will be promoted to deputy superintendent, effective July 1, 2010.
"In our continuing effort to build the leadership capacity of the Camdenton R-III School District, we must continue to provide leadership opportunities for our staff," Hadfield said in a letter to the school's administrative staff.
In addition to his current duties as overseeing the school's improvement process, accreditation and requirements for No Child Left Behind, Henry will also participate in additional academic and curricular duties.
"I'll be working on areas in academic services, school improvement, accountability accreditation and working with professional learning communities," Henry said.
He said he believed the board decided to promote from within because the staff shares a vision of where the district can and should go from here.
"Tim and I have different talents, but share the same philosophy," Henry said. "Where he has experience and strength in the financial end, I have it on the academic end."
The district will be begin looking for Hadfield's replacement as assistant superintendent later this month on into the new year.
