Camdenton couldn’t hold an early lead against Parkview Thursday night, falling 66-53.
Near the end of the first half, Camdenton held a 30-25 lead, but the Vikings went on an 11-2 run to close the half and take a four-point halftime lead.
They would extend their lead down the stretch to earn the final margin of victory.
Lakers coach Patty Thorne said defense made the difference.
“We made some  mental mistakes and defensive breakdowns,”?she said. “36 points might be the most we’ve given up in one half this season.”
Camdenton had three in double figures as Andrea Keedy, Stephanie Kirvan and Haley Baker each scored 12 points.
Chelsey VanHook added 7, Nickie Branting had 6, and Brooke Kelley and Valerie Rugen eached chipped in 2 points.
It’ll be a tough week ahead for the Lakers who take on Kickapoo and Glendale in conference play.
