The Camdenton Lakers  couldn’t keep up with the host team on Thursday night in  the Rogersville Tournament, falling 68-54.
Despite the loss, the Lakers (7-8, 2-1) were able to get three players in double figures.
Senior point guard Jake Williams led the team with 13 points.
Chris Sullens scored 12 off the bench, and Kyle Simpson added 10 for Camdenton.
The JV squad also lost their first round game to Rogersville.
The loss to Rogersville sets up a rematch with the West Plains Zizzers, a team Camdenton beat a little over a week ago at home.
The tournament continues through Saturday.
The Lakers will get back into conference play with a tough week on the road.
They travel to Springfield to take on Kickapoo on Tuesday and turn right around and head back on Friday to face Glendale.
Entering Friday nights games, Kickapoo was 9-7 overall and 2-1 in the Ozark Conference.
Glendale was 14-5 and 2-0 in the conference.
