The spirit of the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair will come to life during the 32nd Annual Lake Regional Hospital Ball on Saturday, Oct. 4.
The event will be held at the Country Club Hotel & Spa on Carol Road in Lake Ozark.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and music from Bill Mack and the Westside Jazz. Dinner and dancing follows with entertainment by Lenny Klinger and Galaxy.
All proceeds will benefit Lake Regional Health System’s cancer treatment center.
The hospital auxiliary has pledged $500,000 throughout two years to create a consolidated area for medical oncology and radiation therapy at the hospital’s north entrance.
“The hospital ball has a long history of being one of the premier social events of the year,” said Kitty McCarthy, event chair and director of volunteer services at Lake Regional Health System. “This year will be no exception.”
Robert Hyatt, M.D., Lake Regional’s chief of staff, and his wife, Therese, are co-chairs of “Meet Me at the Ball.”
Decorations and the elegant dinner will be reminiscent of St. Louis at the turn of the century, including hot air balloons, Ferris wheels and other mementos of the World’s Fair.
Participants will have a chance to win a St. Louis getaway package, including a three-night stay in St. Louis.
Tickets are $125 per person, and tables will seat 10. Sponsorship packages also are available ranging from $500 to $10,000. All sponsors will receive preferred seating.
