The School of the Osage women’s golf team opened its second year of play Tuesaday afternoon against the Camdenton Lakers at the Golf Club at Deer Chase.
Indians head coach Brenda Hayes said that the team is still too young to field a quality varisity squad so the team played matched up against Camdenton’s junior varsity team, with the Lakers winning 237-265.
Hayes said that despite the loss she saw improvement in the team, which is what she was looking for.
"They really held their own, most of theses girls have only been playing three weeks, by the end of the season we'll see a lot better scores and ahuge improvement.”  Hayes said.
