The Lake of the Ozarks Shrine Club held their annual Fun Night at the Main Street Opera over the weekend.
The Gumm family and musical staff performed to a packed house. During the intermission the Shriners took the stage to talk about the new Shriners Hospital for Children currently under construction at the Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis.  The new 247,000- square foot, world-class medical facility is scheduled for completion in 2012.
The Shriners also introduced the McNeal family, whose son Brayden was badly burned and has been undergoing treatment at the Shriners Burn Center in Galveston, Texas. Brayden drew names for prizes that included a trip to Las Vegas, and several gift certificates from local merchants.
To date, the Lake of the Ozarks Shrine Club has sponsored 876 lake area children to Shriners Hospitals at no charge to the child or their parents.  For more information about the Shriners Hospitals, contact Past Rajah Roland Winters at 365-3401.
