Charter member of Lake Valley Country Club

Velva D. North, 95, of Camdenton, Mo., passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at  Windsor Estates Care Center in Camdenton.
She was born April 23, 1913, in Macks Creek, Mo., a daughter to Gentry and Dona (Kerr) Parrack.
On April 23, 1931, in Macks Creek, she was united in marriage to Leonard North who preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 2000.
Velva was a charter member of Lake Valley Country Club of Camdenton. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Camdenton and the Order of the Eastern Star of Camdenton.
Velva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.  She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her. 
She is survived by one son; Dennis North and wife Nancy of Camdenton; one daughter; Patricia Morgan and husband Carl of Camdenton; one daughter-in-law, Barbara North; one brother, G.D. Parrack and wife Betty of Springfield, Mo.; one sister, Geraldine Asher of Camdenton; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Besides her husband Leonard, Velva was preceded in death by one son, Leonard Denzil North; one brother; two sisters and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, 1 p.m. at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton. 
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations are suggested to Regional Hospice and may be left at the funeral home.
