  • An Iowa man received moderate injuries after the jet ski he was operating on the Lake of the Ozarks exploded Thursday.
    Around noon Aug. 15, Todd P. Patterson, 39, of Washington, Iowa was attempting to dock the PWC at the 1.8 mile marker in McCoy Branch Cove when it exploded, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol incident report. The explosion ejected him from the vessel, the report states.
    Patterson made it to shore and was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
